My freshman year was the first year of the X Games. I typed up a resume, a cover letter. I was up all night doing it. And so I end up getting a job at the X Games. And that was my first experience in TV. After graduation, I end up going full-time freelance, working for Fox Sports, and the Tennis Channel, and the NFL. Now we're working with some of the biggest names in the world. So it's been pretty successful. Matt was a personal project. Definitely most proud of that. I had known Matt and his dad, Rudy, for about four years. He had some issues with special needs and stuff of that nature. Senior year he was on the football team. I was so happy for him cause I saw how happy he was. And Rudy and I spoke about it. And I said, man, we got to tell the story. That was just one of those kinds of magical projects that came together beautifully. People.com actually picked it up on Memorial Day. Huffington Post picked it up. Yahoo picked it up. Sports Illustrated picked it up. It was rewarding doing something that actually mattered. UMass taught me how to navigate through some different type of waters. It was eye-opening to get the experience to meet so many different types of people. There are so many options there that you can take advantage of. You can be really successful coming out of there. It's just a great first step into life. I'm Seth Shapiro, owner of Diesel Films. I stand for being creative. And I stand for UMass.
